Room 19 stepped into the shoes of James K Baxter to write a poem
We used his model and made it our own. This is mine:
MY BEDROOM
My bedroom was usual enough; it had a bed that was
Like a couch , a green school desk
That I did homework on, a bookshelf filled with my
favourite chapter books, a dresser
And a night -stand
That I piled all my precious things on
I did basically everything in my room; homework,
gymnastics skills I needed to practise,
Slept peacefully in my nice warm bed covered with a
minion duvet and lots of pillows.
I did what girls do - watched videos on my pink bean
bag. Learning on my chromebook
Doing Nothing Important .

- Selected a place that is personally significant
I chose my bedroom because I feel safe because I am around my family
- Begun with My bedroom was usual enough
- Listed at least 5 nouns related to the place
- Listed 5 actions using STRONG verbs
- Included I did what girls do - watch videos-between the nouns and actions
Concluded with Doing Nothing Important or Similar.
