AVAILLL activities

Over the last 3 weeks my class has been doing AVAILLL. AVAILLL is  where you watch a movie with the subtitles up and do some activities on it. Here are some activities we have done.

We have done the last word which is where we  read the subtitles and our teacher will stop the movie randomly when the subtitles disappear then you write the last word you saw.

We have also done an activity called match the meaning. That is where we have a word on a piece of paper and then our teacher will stop the movie on the subtitles and we have to find the word that means the same as the word on the piece of paper. For example break means the same as shatter.

One of the other activities we have done is unscramble it. In this activity you have a jumbled up word that word will then be unscrambled in the subtitles. Then our teacher will pause the movie then we have to find the word that is unscrambled. But if the letter string has a capital letter we have to use that capital letter in the unscrambled word.

This last one is called read it see it. In this one our teacher will read out a sentence or paragraph about the movie. Then the first thing that pops into our head we have to draw.

I hope you liked this blog post please leave a comment saying what activity you would like to try the most or if you have tried them, tell me which one is your favourite.

Thanks Rhiannon
